An Anonymous user asked a
question on Quora that “if you type this equation -4^(1/4) into Google, the
only results are hardcore porn. If you turn on SafeSearch, there are no
results. Why Google showing porn results as it is a mathematical equation?”
Just after that Jeremy Hoffman,
Google Software Engineer (Search Quality) replied him. -4^(1/4) means “Find
me pages which contain a 1 next to a 4, but which do not contain a 4.” This
should returns zero results, because it is impossible to satisfy both
requirements. The bug was uncovered via when user tried to use Google for solving mathematical equations. Since these are the only results that match the
query that’s why these results shown to user.
You can't find these related results in Google, because very soon Google will fix these bugs told by Jeremy.
