Although Yahoo has HTPPS or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption support since late 2012 but this feature is not enabled by default before. For that you have to set it manually.

After that setting you can get HTTPS encryption support. Rather than set it manually now you can get this feature by default in your Yahoo Mail. This features gives you more security rather than HTTP.

- After Sign in your Yahoo Mail account mouse over the Settings Menu Icon and select Settings.
- Then Click on Security.
- Now Select the checkbox next to "Always use https."
- After that click on Save.
